CYBERSECURITY AND CYBERDEFENSE

Security is a desired state, whereas defence is a posture. While we could certainly be content to explain the difference between cybersecurity and cyberdefence in this way, it has to be said that the use of these terms has evolved considerably. We now tend to think of cybersecurity as covering the protection of information systems in general (technologies, organisations, processes, laws, etc.), whereas cyberdefence is more concerned with national defence ("all the technical and non-technical measures enabling a State to defend its essential information systems in cyberspace").

But you still need a good defence to be safe!
