GOOGLE DORKS

Google Dorks are combinations of keywords recognised by the Google search engine (advanced search operators). These combinations are used to refine search criteria, and are particularly popular with attackers during the detection phase of an attack. For example, they can be used to quickly identify any Excel document containing the term "password", whose title contains the word "confidential" and which originates from a particular company.

Since the word 'dork' means 'idiot' in English, the Google Dork was originally 'Google's idiot'. But since there is no such thing, we had to find a new meaning to recycle the term.
